One Dress Plans the Rest: Galatea
Sooo, as I’m sure all of you have heard, we are SO thrilled to announce our first Willowby x Watters trunk show!! It’ll be here March 4th and we’ll have SIX of these absolutely gorgeous Willowby gowns for 2 whole weeks! In honor of this, we’re doing a fun little blog series planning a dream wedding for each gown.
First up? Galatea, of course! This gown is one of our favorites here at Ivory & Beau, and is Mckenzie’s dream wedding dress. Once it gets here, you’ll exclusively see her wearing Galatea and nothing else.
So, let’s plan this wedding! We’ve got the dress, so the next step is… the venue! I’d love to see this dress in a winter wedding. These are some of our favs for a little inspiration.
Next up? FLOWERS !! This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding. Great floral designers (like the I&B Team!!) can bring any vision to life!! I think these florals would look especially beautiful with Galatea.
And last, but not least, one of the most fun details… the cake! A beautiful cake can make your reception, and there is no shortage of gorgeous cake inspiration. Here are a few of our favorites!
Of course, Galatea is so beautiful and would fit any wedding, style, venue, flowers, anything… We just thought it’d be so fun to give you some inspiration on how we’d style this gown!
Don’t forget to schedule your appointment to come try on Galatea, and the next five dresses we’ll be highlighting, starting March 4th. Here’s the link to our trunk show information so you can check it out: https://www.ivoryandbeau.com/trunk-shows/2019/3/4/willowby-trunk-show
In the enchanting embrace of Savannah's historic charm, Sarah and Max's love story unfolded amidst the timeless setting at The Drayton Hotel. With Ivory & Beau orchestrating the affair as both floral designer and wedding management, their wedding became a captivating narrative of contrasts, blending the allure of modern dark, moody florals with an artistic and editorial grace that feels very ‘old Hollywood’.
On the sleek rooftop lawn of Perry Lane, surrounded with the historic views of Savannah, Megan wove together a palette of deep berry reds, burnt oranges and blush shades of muted pink florals on two willow branch arches, creating a captivating and dramatic backdrop for Dawn & Larry’s ceremony. The results were breathtaking!
As the streets of Savannah prepare to paint themselves green in honor of St. Patrick's Day, there's no better time to celebrate the rich Irish heritage of our beloved city. But did you know that Ireland is also rich in wedding traditions that have been passed down for generations?
