Wedding Day Decor: Arch Inspiration from Ivory & Beau

One of the highlights of setting up for a wedding day has to be seeing an arch come to fruition. The moment we’ve finished wiring florals and draping fabric, we step back to take it in. It all just starts to feel a little more real; like, holy cow, our I&B couple is really about to take one of biggest steps yet on their magical journey together.

While your ceremony arch may seem like a simple piece of wedding decor, we urge you to consider getting creative! It has the potential to be a real statement piece. Just think: your arch is one of the first things your guests notice as they are seated. Don’t you want to set the tone for the rest of your wedding right off the bat?

Whether you’re a romantic, floral loving pair or an edgy, modern duo, we’ve got the arch inspo you’ve been looking for-- and all from our own archives. That’s right, folks. The I&B team has made each and every one with their own two hands! We will gladly sacrifice our manicures to craft you the arch of your dreams.

Asymmetric Natural Greenery Arch

We still dream about this amazing shoot with Danielle George Photography-- and this organic, asymmetric arch always makes the highlight reel! This design is perfect for couples who aren’t interested in bloom-ifying their ceremony backdrop. Who knew you could have wonderfully chic garden-inspired decor without the cost of hundreds of flowers? We did. Duh.

DIY Geometric Arch

Um, hello! How epic was Annie & Wilson’s DIY arch from their wedding at Soho South Cafe? This southern eatery is full of charm, and while any other arch design may have overwhelmed the space, this homemade (you read that right! Annie’s DAD made this piece of art!) arch was perfectly suited to the venue.

The No Arch-Arch

Ivory & Beau Couple Caitlin & Tim opted for no arch at all-- or perhaps more accurately, they took it horizontal for a twist on the classic ceremony decor! Their guests were seated around them in a semi-circle, and the couple met to say their “I Do’s” on a rug surrounded by a greenery garland and fluttering candles. How romantic!

Funky Tropical Arch

If you are all about a beachy vibe on your big day, check out Ivory & Beau Couple Gretchen & Alex’ ultra-tropical arch! Gold accents and streaks of pampas grass kept this arch modern and fun. Can you spy all the mini-pineapples? Let us know how many you counted in the comments down below.

Macrame Matrimony

This vintage-inspired arch from Ivory & Beau Couple James and Adrienne’s wedding at the Wyld Dock and Bar is totally swoonworthy. We modernized this macrame design with lots of greenery and colorful blooms. Perfect for a boho chic bride and groom!

Draped Floral Arch

This is an oldie but a goodie. You may remember this shoot we did with the Happy Bloom from an earlier version of our homepage! If you’re planning on getting married outdoors, this arch may be an option for you. We loved creating this floral garland; I mean, how romantic would this look draped over an old oak tree on your wedding day?
