Farewell from Paige!
If you’ve been keeping up with the site for the past two years, you may have wondered once or twice: what crazy fool does Ivory & Beau keep busy doing all these blogs? How has she not run out of wedding verbage yet? Why does she keep comparing brides to bath bombs?!
That would be me! If we haven’t been introduced yet, I’m Paige. Occasional bridal consultant and blogger extraordinaire, I’ve been with Ivory & Beau since the spring of 2017. While I got my start as a humble intern, I’m so grateful that shop owner Nicole was willing to take a leap of faith and hire me for my very first BIG KID JOB. Fun fact: on my first day, I was so nervous I showed up 30 minutes early (with chocolate pretzels, no less) and I had to sit in my car for 20 minutes so I wouldn’t look like a total freak.
For the past 104 weeks, I’ve been typing away, tucked into the corner of Ivory & Beau’s original Abercorn location or hunched over my laptop at the new shop on Price Street. That’s over 312 blogs-- three a week for the past two years! In all that time, I’ve had the privilege of getting to relive the happiest day of our clients’ lives. From our Ivory & Beau brides, shining bright in their beautiful wedding gowns, to our Ivory & Beau couples, hands full of flowers and smiles spread wide across their faces, trust me when I say that I’ve had the BEST. TIME. EVER!
Trust me when I say the decision to leave Ivory & Beau wasn’t an easy one. Though the time has come for me to take to the skies as a flight attendant, I’ll always have Ivory & Beau on my mind. If you’ve ever set foot in our shop, you’ll understand why. Every single day, I was greeted with a room full of smiles and a ton of laughter and lots of crazy wedding shenanigans. My coworkers truly love their jobs and each other and all of you. The past two years have hardly felt like work, and yet they’ve taught me the true value of the hustle.
So thank you. Thank you to our Ivory & Beau couples, who have reminded me that there is true love in the world. Thank you to our Ivory & Beau brides, who have shown me beauty beyond measure and taught me to find joy in all the precious moments life has to offer. Thank you to the Ivory & Beau team, who always made me feel so loved. I am so proud to say that I was a part in the magic that is I&B.
Promise me you’ll come visit and make my coworkers smile when I can’t! It’ll be the best day of your life. Tell them Paige sent you.
Until next time. XOXO
(PS: Did you love keeping up with me here at I&B? I bet you have an adventurous spirit. If so, you’ll love my new flight attendant lifestyle blog: One Fly Flight Attendant!)
