Southern Coastal Wedding {Featured on Southern Weddings}
Tybee Island is such a beautiful spot for a wedding! We love the summer beach vibes, soft coastal breeze, and beautiful colors. And while we have seen so many weddings, we love fun twists! Like Pineapple bowling! YES! Pineapples! The team at JLeslie Designs blended coastal and traditional Southern style together effortlessly, from the monogrammed details to the framed family photos to the oyster-topped cake. They borrowed our Hayes Gown by Sarah Seven, and the soft organza and sequins really worked perfect with the sunset in the backdrop.
From J Leslie: "We decided to plan our shoot for the dunes area just before the flat of the beach, but with the lighthouse in the background. We wanted to incorporate Savannah Vintage Rental’s unique pieces to really create a sense of a room in such a vast setting. We went with the Hayes gown by Sarah Seven because of its feminine feel and movement, perfect for the breeze of the beach. We incorporated oyster elements in the invitation design, and from there, we decided to do oyster place cards and use oysters as a cake topper to tie in the concept. I wanted any of my wood signage to have similar tones as driftwood to create a natural look. This shoot was a joy to design, a dream to work with these vendors, and a blast to model in!"
We love an oyster garland! Such a beautiful and fun way to incorporate the sea. And we love the addition of them on the cake! You can tell oysters were a main color inspiration for the shoot. Soft blue, gray and cream. We love the soft pastel china by Lilian's China, one of our favorite Savannah vendors, on a gorgeous farm table from Savannah Vintage Rentals.

In the enchanting embrace of Savannah's historic charm, Sarah and Max's love story unfolded amidst the timeless setting at The Drayton Hotel. With Ivory & Beau orchestrating the affair as both floral designer and wedding management, their wedding became a captivating narrative of contrasts, blending the allure of modern dark, moody florals with an artistic and editorial grace that feels very ‘old Hollywood’.
On the sleek rooftop lawn of Perry Lane, surrounded with the historic views of Savannah, Megan wove together a palette of deep berry reds, burnt oranges and blush shades of muted pink florals on two willow branch arches, creating a captivating and dramatic backdrop for Dawn & Larry’s ceremony. The results were breathtaking!
As the streets of Savannah prepare to paint themselves green in honor of St. Patrick's Day, there's no better time to celebrate the rich Irish heritage of our beloved city. But did you know that Ireland is also rich in wedding traditions that have been passed down for generations? Join us as we delve into the enchanting world of Irish wedding customs, perfect for couples seeking a touch of Celtic charm on their special day.
