NEW Ti Adora Gown & a Gatsby Mod Wedding
One of my favorite things about helping a bride find their wedding dress is talking to the bride about their vision for the wedding day. I think a wedding dress can really set the stage for the entire wedding in itself. Now of course if you are having a beach wedding and you've been dreaming since age 5 about your ball gown with hundreds of layers of tulle then I say girl rock it. But today my post isn't about that, but rather how a wedding can be designed and created around the wedding dress. So first, let's start with the dress...
We just received our newest Ti Adora gown today and it is beautiful, wonderful, romantic and just stunning. You can see a sneak peek on our instagram here! The dress is a soft flowy a-line with an ivory english net skirt over a champagne underlay with a beaded bodice. The back of the dress has an open back with unique dream catcher style straps.
Now feel free to disagree with me on this, but to me I envision the bride who wears this dress wanting an extremely stylish black-tie cocktail hour style wedding. The style of her wedding would be modern, clean and trendy and the little details are extremely important, hence why she fell in love with the exquisite beading of this Ti Adora gown. Think a little bit Great Gatsby mixed with a touch of her bohemian flair.
That back though!?!?! Am I right?!
Local 11 Ten would make the perfect backdrop for her Savannah wedding. The venue is just the right amount of glam and mod with its modern decor and swanky rooftop bar. A signature drink would be a must, maybe even 2. And guests would enjoy a cocktail hour upstairs with passed hors d'oeuvres before heading downstairs to enjoy a fancy sit-down meal.
Bridesmaids will be dressed simply and elegantly in dark gray chiffon dresses. The colors of the wedding would be shades of gray, touches of gold, a deep plum shade and some pops of bright yellows and oranges to play off the decor of the venue. The florals would be mostly greenery with pops of color and bold blooming anemones to bring in modern black and white. Now back to bridesmaids... if you follow us on social media at all then you would know that we have a BIG secret that we have been waiting to reveal. And if you are reading this then let me let you in on the little secret... Jenny Yoo Bridesmaids dresses will be coming Fall 2016 to Ivory & Beau !!!!! {SIDE NOTE} So we just received all the images back from Nic's Coastal Elopement shoot at Local 11 Ten from Meghan Newsom today and so I just had to pop a few of those sneak peeks in throughout this blog!! We are seriously swooning over every last detail from the shoot!!!! I am so proud of how far Nic has come and all of the hard work she puts into her job at Ivory & Beau. When Megan first approached us to collaborate I was so knee deep in wedding season and overwhelmed that it just was not the right time so I asked Nic if she wanted to design, style, coordinate her own shoot and she eagerly yet nervously said yes. And I just got to say she seriously rocked this shoot so hard - I can't even WAIT to be able to share all the images from the shoot!! Not just that but this shoot was not the easiest... it seemed to be one thing after another falling through but she did not give up and not stop and still was able to make it work and it turned out even cooler than we could have imagined!! So yeah, just because of that I just had to share some sneak peeks in this blog post (with permission from the kangaroo of course!!)!!! #proudboss
