Elegant Savannah Wedding {featured on Southern Weddings}
A few weeks ago, we had our first feature on Southern Weddings! And we are so excited to share that we are on it again! This time is one of our sweet brides, who purchased her Elaya Vaughn gown with us. Sometimes, brides think that finding a wedding dress is a long and exhausting task, and that they have to visit every store in the tri-state area. But, we disagree! Finding the dress is about a moment, the feeling of, "Yes, this is what I see myself getting married in". And sometimes that means you go to one shop! We were Erika's first appointment, and she wanted something timeless, elegant, and true to herself. After trying on a few gowns, she kept going back to Evangeline, and it was the perfect choice for her classic Southern wedding. Evangeline is a stunning lace mermaid, with a high neckline that features asymmetrical lace. And the back, oh the back is jaw dropping. Erika looked so perfect in the gown, and the ladies at Stitch made it fit to a T. Add a classic up do and natural makeup by Heather of Beyond Beautiful, and you have a stunning and blushing bride!
Photography was by the extremely talented Brian Flint, out of Mississippi. He is for the discerning bride who values photography, and storytelling. His work is timeless, with gorgeous detail shots of every minute of the day.
Erika and Kenny decided to not do a first look, and wanted their first moment of seeing each other to be when she walked down the aisle. Erika and her girls took photo's around downtown Savannah, capturing the attention of many Savannah visitors! Savannah is such a wedding city, each weekend you can see dozens of weddings taking place all around town, from the squares to the churches. The Spanish Moss and huge oak tree's make downtown Savannah a popular place for photo's!
Their ceremony took place on Wilmington Island, at a family friend's house. The marsh view was such a stunning backdrop for their vows! We love how diverse Savannah is. You can have a stunning water view for one part, historic charm for pictures, and an array of amazing venues to choose from for the reception. All within a 10 minute drive! Erika and Kenny chose trolley's to transport guests to and from the ceremony site, which is perfect for those who have out of town guests. Parking in Savannah can be tricky, so providing transportation so people don't have to drive is a great gesture! Their reception took place at Knights of Columbus, which is a great venue with clean white walls, a gorgeous wooden ceiling, and chandeliers throughout. The decor was simple and elegant, with greenery garlands on the tables, mixed with ivory flowers. And for their getaway car they chose a Savannah staple, pedicabs!
