IN THE PRESS: Savannah Weddings Magazine

So beyond excited that we have several features in the new Fall/Winter 2015-2016 issue of Savannah Weddings Magazine!!! 1 styled shoot, a few dresses and 2 of our weddings are in this latest issue!! And I just have to say it is so exciting to be listed as a contributing stylist and it was so fun to get the opportunity to create a shoot for the issue. First things first, one of our newest Nicole Miller dresses named after Savannah made the issue. This dress just came in this week and has a very soft chiffon flowy skirt with a beaded lace top and an illusion neckline. **We are receiving new dresses all the time so make sure you follow us on Instagram to see all the sneak peeks!!

This issue is a really special one to us because it was the first time we were approached by Savannah Weddings Magazine and asked to create an editorial for the magazine. The theme? They wanted something that was modern and inspired by the 70's. The inspiration they sent over instantly reminded me of the movie, Almost Famous with Kate Hudson, which for some reason made me think of rockstars at an airplane hangar. We took that inspiration and contacted the one and only Wendy of Apt B Photography and went with it using music as our theme. Guitars and tambourines everywhere. Our very own Baby McKenzie with her mermaid hair was one of our bridesmaids along with our friend Kristin Fuller, who were done up by Michelle Royal. The girls wore outfits from local boutique, Fab'rik. Our bride, Elizabeth Conneff, of course had to wear a gown from one of our most bohemian designer, Daughters of Simone with a veil from Adele Amelia. Rentals were provided by Savannah Vintage Rentals, food from Thrive Catering and an amazingly ridiculously delicious pineapple upside down cake from KM Cake Design. All in all this was a super fun shoot that we got to do and it was so exciting to include my dad in the shoot with his plane. He has been such an inspiration and encouraging part of Ivory + Beau's journey down this path and it was fun getting him to be there behind-the-scenes watching us in action as we styled the hangar and tarmac area for the shoot. Thanks King Arthur Father of all Fathers, one of our biggest cheerleaders!!

So when Design Studio South contacts you to borrow a dress for a shoot with Harwell Photography, a well-renowned photographer who has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, you obviously say yes and get really excited and let them choose a dress that suits their theme perfectly. Tristan and Alysse picked Giada by Blush by Hayley Paige, a soft glittery blush gown with beaded shoulders and a beaded waist. Christy of Colonial House of Flowers stunned everybody with that massive and beautiful bouquet of peonies, ranunculus, eucalyptus and garden roses. Their shoot took place at the Harper Fowlkes House, a venue that is perfect for a southern feat with catering by Salt, Smoke and Hops. Calligraphy and paper goods were done by Low Country Paper Co. and rentals/decor provided by Savannah Vintage Rentals and Paris Market. Heather of Beyond Beautiful gave the bride a beautiful and soft look with glittery eyeliner that reflected the sparkles and details of the gown. *We have 2 upcoming trunk shows featuring Blush by Hayley Paige - Spring 2015 Collection (Sept 18th-19th) and Fall 2015 Collection (Nov 13th-20th). We are almost completely booked for the weekend of the 18th-19th so schedule your appointment now before it's too late to shop the entire collection!

Christina and Greg's timeless and elegant wedding photographed by Jeff + Mollie Take Photos is featured in this issue as well! Their wedding was recently up on the blog and you can read more and see more from this wedding here that took place at Whitefield Chapel and Vic's on the River. The article about this couple is adorable and I love that in the first paragraph it talks about how being the 2 tallest people in the room it's impossible not to see one another and that upon meeting Christina said, "You and I would have giant babies." Him being 6'8" and her 6' I think that is probably a very true statement. Huge congratulations to the very sweet couple!!!

Amber & David's wedding photographed by Lytle Foto also made it into this issue! Their wedding was magical and artistic. The couple met in Colorado in pottery class and moved to Savannah to attend grad school at SCAD so felt it only made sense to have their wedding in Savannah. The artists created many handmade elements for their wedding, and maybe my favorite were the "Lilliputian" pots that were favors and escort cards for guests with cactuses. The wedding had a bold color palette that came together with amber goblets, burnt orange table runners, and gold flatware from Ultra Pom and handmade turquoise pots and napkins. Tables at Cohen's Retreat were lined with hundreds of jars with candles, crocheted rocks done by Amber and her grandma, and bright pink peonies. The unique ceremony took place at Wormsloe near dusk under mossy trees. Guests grabbed lanterns and then walked the long stretch down the path to the ceremony with Terry Thrift who played acoustic guitar, where the grandmas followed as the flower girls followed by Amber and her dad and grandpa. Quite possibly my favorite part about their wedding aside from the popcorn station was the Boho Booth - a camper turned photobooth.

Last but not least, can we just talk about how much I love that our ad made it next to 2 of our favorite companies that we work with quite frequently??? Leopold's with the most delicious ice cream ever and that top picture in their ad is from our engagement shoot with them for The Not and then Cha Bella, one of the most delicious restaurants and caterers in town. Below also see the ad from our local accessory designer, Adele Amelia!! We love that we have a local designer who can meet with brides and create custom pieces just for them. One of my favorites she's made for one of our brides was definitely the kitty cat bow for Tiffany, seriously adorable.

All in all - huge huge huge thank you to Savannah Weddings Magazine for featuring us in your magazine. We appreciate your support of Ivory + Beau dearly!!!!! x, n
