What Are You Walking Down the Aisle In? Our Top Picks for Bridal Footwear!

Hey everyone! I feel like this is one of those topics that we tend to not think about until it gets closer to the wedding date. Therefore, I felt like it was time to bring to light the importance of what shoes you’re going to wear on your wedding day!

Honestly, I feel like this should be the next step after finding the perfect dress! Now, while finding the perfect pair may take some time (because lets face it, finding a pair of heels that are comfortable AND won’t sink into the grass is difficult), but I do believe that finding it closer to the time of finishing alterations on your dress is very important! I stress this because when you’re getting your wedding dress hemmed (speaking of, shout out to Stitch in downtown Savannah, GA: they are AMAZING), you want to get your wedding dress hemmed to the height of the shoes you will be wearing on your big day! That way you know that your wedding dress will be at perfect, walking length.

Here are some ideas for different type of shoes any bride can wear depending on what her vibe/feel is:

DECALS! I love these/this idea. It’s such a simple way to make every little detail personalized on your big day! Different options could be: “I Do”, “Our Day”, or even “True Love”. If you’re crafty, you can make them yourselves! Or if you wanna leave it up to a professional crafter, check out Etsy! There are many amazing shops that can provide this service.

Having a beach wedding? Hate wearing shoes? Live that barefoot, wild and free life! Adding something like a foot bracelet would be an adorable way to add another accessory. This way, you can still feel the sand between your toes and be so comfortable.

Last but not least, FLATS! Y’all, I cannot walk in heels to save my life. Even at work if I’m in any kind of a heel I’m in booties. These are so cute and definitely give off bridal vibes. I especially love these for outdoor weddings. This way you don’t have to worry about your heels digging in the ground or tripping on uneven landscape!
