Melissa & Andrew

Most of our clients are destination, and Melissa and Andrew came all the way from Canada (Saskatoon to be exact!)! They loved the charm of Savannah, and wanted a wedding that was whimsical, unique, fun, and oh so them! They chose Soho South Cafe for the reception, and Lafayette Square for their ceremony. Soho South Cafe was the perfect spot, with it's indoor garden feel, and mismatched decor. Each table was kept simple with white milk vases, clear vases, and bright pops of color! They even had gold animals (and dinosaurs!) on each table, a detail we obviously loved! For their flowers they wanted something bold and full of summer colors, like yellow, pink, and lots of greenery. Her bouquet was super wild and full of texture, with lots of eucalyptus and huge mums and bright yellow roses. We had so much fun doing their planning and their flowers! Congratulations to Melissa and Andrew <3

Melissa and Andrew's ceremony took place at Lafayette square, one of our favorites in Savannah. It's an intimate spot, and the fountain makes the perfect backdrop. They kept the decor to a minimum, and just had some giant balloons in the background, which swayed in the wind. Two of their friends performed the music, and it was so sweet and personal! Their vows were heartfelt, and you could really feel how much they love one another. I mean look at their smiles! After the ceremony they had a Leopold's cart next to the square, so guests could enjoy some ice cream on a warm summer day.

Savannah has the coolest places to take pictures! You don't have to walk far to get so many scenes: water front, historic brick, grand homes, fountains, and of course endless squares of Oak. Melissa and Andrew took advantage of the scenery and walked around Savannah before going to Soho South for their reception. For the reception, they kept the vibe eclectic and vibrant, like the atmosphere of Soho! They had vintage china from Lilian's China, which added such fun colors and textures! We love mismatched china, and I'll admit I'm obsessed with her blue collection.

Hide and Beau Seek: Marina & Swiss Dots

When you live by the water, you have to take advantage of it! When picking our next spot for our Hide and Beau Seek minishoot, we wanted something coastal, but something different then the beach or dock. So we chose a marina! Surrounded by a gorgeous sunset and endless boats and water, the Isle of Hope Marina was the perfect fit. We wanted to create a few looks with our dress, so we brought some of our favorite accessories with us! For the gown we chose a swiss dot a line gown by Ti Adora, that is oh so feminine and soft, and so perfect for a water side wedding. Keep scrolling to see how we styled this Ti Adora gown! A huge thank you to our dear friend Wendy at Apt B Photography for always wanting to take these adventures with us!

For the next look we added one of our favorite accessories: A flower crown. Well in this case, greenery! We foraged local greenery and ferns to create a unique and wild piece for our model. We also added a lace cap sleeve topper by Ti Adora, to give a second look to the gown. We love mixing textures, so mixing the lace with the swiss dot is a huge yes in our book!

For our last look we added a cashmere shrug, since it gets chilly at night! (Even though it's been so warm lately!) This shrug by Adele Amelia is so soft and cozy, and she can customize as needed! We also had McKenzie of McKenzie Does Calligraphy make a sign, with one of my favorite E.E Cummings poem.

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)

We love a fun elopement! Especially one with such an awesome couple as Mia and Colt at Old Sheldon Ruins. Mia came in wanting a unique and funky gown, and one that would go with her Doc Martens. She chose Azi, a lace mermaid, with a ton of fun tulle and horsehair, and a flattering sweetheart neckline. We love it with her soft half up half down hair, and bold necklace. We think bridal jewelry should reflect your personality, and be full of color and texture. Congratulations to Mia and Colt!

Savannah weddings are just so beautiful! We are so lucky to live and work here. Kayla and Cody's Savannah wedding was the perfect example! They took advantage of the beautiful scenery for their portraits, captured by Katie McGee. Kayla wore Thalia by Anna Campbell, which features a lace fitted skirt, sweetheart neckline, and delicate cap sleeves. She added some sparkle with a sash by local designer Adele Amelia, and an extra long veil that is just so stunning in photos! Congratulations Kayla and Cody!
