Destination Weddings: Take Ivory & Beau with you to Chicago

Since 2013 we have been primarily wedding planners in Savannah and surrounding areas, and now that it is 2020, we are ready to begin new adventures!

In an effort to get these adventures started, we are promoting that the first FOUR destination weddings that we book will have NO TRAVEL FEES added on. With any destination requires traveling which means more money needs to be spent in order to get there, stay there and for labor. So, without these travel fees added on means you will be saving money, YAY! We have book our first destination wedding in Asheville (so excited), so there are three more opportunities to book us without travel fees!

Now let’s get to the inspiration - we are always seeing photos on Pinterest and Instagram of these GORGEOUS wedding venues all over the country, and it gets our creativity booming and we want to be able to plan and create floral masterpieces in these locations! We have already posted blogs for three destinations we would kill to do weddings at - Oregon, in our blog Destination Weddings: Take Ivory & Beau with you to Oregon, Atlanta, in Destination Weddings: Take Ivory & Beau with you to Atlanta, and Arizona, in Destination Weddings: Take Ivory & Beau with you to Arizona.

Moving on to Chicago, with inspiration for a pastel floral dream wedding. Here is a mood board to inspire you to get married in Chicago, IL at a luxurious venue, and we break down each element with a few tips on how to make it happen!

THE VENUE

Room 1520 - Chicago, IL

The Room 1520 is a 4,000 sq ft venue in the West Loop of Chicago. It has a luxurious feeling without being over the top, an industrial feel with an old fashioned twist. The venue comes along with so many features, including private suits, a customizable floor plan & an artisan staircase. The best part? Access to a rooftop for epic views of the city line. Talk about amazing photo opportunities for you and your wedding party. With details, like sheer & velvet draping, crystal chandeliers, and candlelight, you would have the romantic wedding of your dreams. Oh, did I mention it’s also pet friendly? ;)

THE DRESS

AT IVORY & BEAU

Mermaid Wedding Dress

( sample size 14 )

Details: lace motifs over tulle, beaded lace motif bodice, illusion v-back, v-neckline, beaded spaghetti straps

Colors: Ivory over Soft Blush & All Ivory

Sizes: 0-28

THE COLORS

Blush Pink, Champagne, Ivory

With the venue letting in so much light, it would be a shame to fill it with darker colors. This bright pastel color palette can turn any venue into a springtime oasis. The word that keeps coming to mind is delicate, with soft blooms, intricate details & angelic lighting. This is definitely for the bride who is girly, your favorite color is pink, and you want to feel like a princess on your wedding day.

THE DETAILS

Organic Greenery, Gold Decor, Candlelight

Adding organic greenery to an open, white space adds an element of life and balance to the bright colors. When it comes to the ceremony backdrop, the more luscious the better. Vines intertwined with full blooms framing you and your partner, then stretching down either side of the aisle, it’s like bringing spring inside, creating your own interior garden. Gold details, from the dinnerware to table decor, and lettering on your invitation suite & signage, this will bring every aspect of your aesthetic together.
