Savannah Carnaval!

Y’all!!!!!! I am so excited to share this awesomeness with you all today!

We were recently involved in helping plan Savannah’s 1st Carnaval!! A charity event to raise money for SD Gunner Fund. This non-profit was created to assist Veterans and disabled children with the financial expense of owning much needed service animals. The event was a HUGE success and a ton of fun to be involved in. Huge shoutout to Jess at Hustle & Blow Dry Bar for coming to us to help her plan this event and kudos to Mallory at The Clyde for sharing her space at no cost to provide the venue for this awesome night out that was also for a great cause!!!

When we first started planning I knew instantly I wanted to also turn this into a wedding styled shoot and so here’s just a little sneak peek of the shoot that we put together made by Ardsley Park Productions!

And then here’s some sneak peeks of my favorite pictures captured by Meredith Ryncarz from the shoot!

Can we talk big centerpieces for a minute? I know a lot of brides don’t want to do big centerpieces because they want guests to be able to see each other and talk to each other. Well, look no further than Ivory & Beau for your florals because we’ve got these awesome metal stands that provide the perfect base to create giant centerpieces that still allow for ultimate guest interaction. I loved creating these tropical wedding centerpieces and am not-so-secretly praying someone hires us to recreate these because I am obsessed with all things tropical wedding and all things giant centerpiece.

The Savannah Carnaval was maybe one of the most fun nights of my life, not counting my wedding of course. And I am soooo obsessed with the adorable welcome signs & itineraries that The Small Creative designed for the event. Allison is soooo ridiculously talented and I adore all of her work. She can pretty much design whatever you need for your wedding from large-scale backdrops to paper goods. These tropical hand-drawn fruity paper goods were perfect for the Savannah Carnaval / tropical wedding inspired shoot.

One of the best parts about styled shoots?? Getting to be as wild as we want when it comes to the flowers. And this tropical wedding bouquet was one of my favorites to create!! I loved using the blue orchids and tropical greenery leaves to really give it a funky look like none other. The colors were perfect for Savannah Carnaval.

If you don’t follow @abravemess on instagram you definitely should! This beauty modeled our Willowby 2-piece dress and looks so perfect with her high pony & makeup done by Hustle & Blow Dry Bar!

Another fun person to follow on insta is @thelaneeffectt. This gorgeous redhead rocked our Maggie Sottero dress like a pro. Would you rock black??? This dress also comes in ivory in case you aren’t daring to brave the trendy style in the black color. Although, a Halloween wedding with moody flowers and a black dress would be epic.

Can we talk about this wedding cake by Sugar Whisk Co? Want to know the best part about this wedding cake??? It actually tastes EPIC too. I am in love with Sugar Whisk Co’s light flavors and delicious frosting and her decoration skills are out of this world.

I could spend the rest of my day talking about all the INCREDIBLE vendors who helped with this shoot but I have 30 minutes until a client meeting so…. until further notice.
