Vendor Spotlight: Orchid Organizing!
So, it may still be a bit chilly in our sleepy southern city, but we here at Ivory & Beau refuse to abandon our spring spirits! While we're dreaming of butterflies and the beautiful blooms, we're also in the mood for a little spring cleaning... so we figured there was no better time to introduce an uber-organized friend of the shop: Kate Jones of Orchid Organizing!
Introducing Kate:
Orchid Organizing was founded by Savannah, GA local, Kate Jones. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and her master's degree from Armstrong State University. Kate is also a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO).
ate has always had an eye for order and the most effective way to structure a space. From a very young age, her organizing services were requested by friends and family members as holiday gifts and birthday presents. This eventually led to the creation of Orchid Organizing to bring the delight of a well-ordered space to others. It is Kate's goal to bring joy and tranquility to every home and office through organization.
About Orchid Organizing:
hy orchids? Orchids symbolize strength, beauty and luxury - qualities that make a house (or office) feel more like a home.
Kate says: "Clutter and excess in your home can be overwhelming and stressful. Your life is too busy and too valuable to come home to a mess. We create customized organizational systems to help your spaces work for you, not the other way around. Most importantly, we never criticize or judge because (surprise!) we aren't perfect either."
Why is hiring a professional organizer great for newlyweds?
Planning a wedding is a very exciting time in your life. That said, there are a LOT of things to plan.. the wedding, where you’ll live, will you buy or rent, whose blender or linens will you keep or will you just put brand new ones on your registry? Integrating two separate homes with years of stuff you’ve acquired into one can present its challenges.
When you come back from your honeymoon, the last thing you want to worry about is figuring out how to combine you and your spouse’s belongings. A professional organizer can ease this transition by helping you identify duplicates, decide what to keep, what to toss and what to replace and creating systems to set you up for success from the get-go.
Ready to get organized? Services offered include:
"I offer 3 different types of services. In-Home Organizing (our most popular!), DIY Plans and Virtual Organizing. My services are all-inclusive; each includes additional benefits such as shopping for supplies, appointment setting, taking items to consignment, and removal of trash/donations. Each service can be purchased as an individual session or as a package — we recommend the packages because they provide you with the greatest value for your investment."
Don't just take our word for it! Here are some testimonials from past clients:
"It was such a pleasure working with Kate. She is prompt and made doing tasks we put off doing for years simple. She help guide decisions and when we were done she took all items to their destination- trash, donation or recycled to other places." - A.P.
"I felt overwhelmed by my guest room closet; it was overflowing with stuff and I didn't know where to start. Kate helped me narrow down what I should donate, what I could consign and which clothing pieces I'd actually wear again. Now the space is usable for my guests. She also helped me organize my dresser drawers into categories and showed me a better way to fold everything so I can see it all at once. It's such a relief when I'm getting dressed in the morning. Next on the list is my linen closet!" - T. M.
"I love my kitchen now! I never thought I’d be saying that. I’m relatively organized but until I had Kate Jones work with me, to not only improve the look, but the function of my kitchen I had no idea what was possible. One of my favorite things is to walk in to my pantry and to immediately know exactly what I have and what I need to complete a dish. I find myself being more creative and actually using things that normally would’ve gotten buried in the panty. She also helped me with all my kitchen cabinets. This is not the first time having her help. A few months back she reworked my clothing wardrobe. That was big help too!" - R. J.
