What to Expect Wedding Series: All About Wedding Florals!
As Savannah’s only one-stop wedding shop, you can only begin to imagine the multitude of wedding-related questions we get a day! Don’t get us wrong-- we totally love helping you figure out every last detail of your wedding-- but we figured there was probably a better way for us to demystify the whole wedding planning process. So, in the interest of keeping things nice and simple (aka the way they totally should be as you’re planning one of the best days of your life), we’ve decided to kick off a whole series on what to expect when you’re planning a wedding.
Flower fanatics that we are, we decided that the best way to start off would be with a guide to wedding florals. Think of this as your beginner’s glance into what can expect when working with Ivory & Beau’s floral design experts. As I&B’s resident blogger, I might be a bit biased, but these ladies? TOTAL FLOWER GODDESSES!
Step 1: Setting up your floral consultation.
The first step on your petal-filled path to floral heaven starts with our floral consultation form. This is where we first get to know all about you, your fiance, and your vision for your big day. We’ll ask you about your venue, your floral budget, and about your overall preferences for how your wedding will look. This consultation form includes all the possible wedding flowers you could dream up from bouquets and bouts to cake flowers and installations, but don’t worry-- if you’ve got something TOTALLY wild in mind, you’ll get a chance to talk it over with us, too!
Feeling a little overwhelmed by the options? No worries! Take a deep breath and head for Pinterest-- we have a board FULL of our flower designs to help you narrow things down. (PS: You can totally upload your own Pinterest board to our form, too. We’d love to see what you have in mind!)
Step 2: Meeting with our floral design experts.
Once you’ve submitted your form, our floral design experts will take the time to review your floral fancies before giving you a call to set up an appointment. Don’t worry if you’re from out of town-- we’re pretty tech savvy ‘round here, so we’re always happy to speak with you over Skype! In this appointment, we’ll round out some of the finer details for you, giving you a better idea of works for your budget. Here we’ll answer all of your questions; from what flowers are in season to what this year’s hottest floral trends are, we make it our business to stay up to date on all things wedding.
Step 3: The Floral Proposal
After we’ve had the chance to meet with you and discuss all things floral, our designers will create a floral proposal for you. This itemized breakdown will include all of the exact specifications of your wedding flower plan along with some inspiration pictures. This is also where you’ll get a better idea of how each floral arrangement fits into your budget. Before we finalize the proposal, we’ll send it over for you and your fiance to review. Here’s your chance to tweak the details! You can add details that you hadn’t thought of before or take away the things you’re not as in love with as you thought you might be. We’ll be there to answer any questions you might have along the way.
Step 4: Sit back, relax, and start the wedding countdown!
Once we’ve finalized your floral proposal, it’s time for you to take a breather. Bet you never thought that *this* much went into wedding flowers, huh? Now that we’ve got a plan, it’s smooth sailing. Our wedding flower experts will take care of ordering, arranging, and delivering your flowers on your big day. We’ll set up all of your floral-related inventory on the day of and at the end of the night, we’ll swing by to pick it all up. Want to keep your flowers? Go for it! Want us to handle tossing them-- you got it, dude!
By the way, if you’re looking for wedding coordination, we also offer full and day-of planning services. Wedding florals are a part of all of our wedding planning packages-- we meant it when we said we were a true one-stop bridal shop!
