Destination Weddings: Take Ivory & Beau with you to Atlanta
Lately, we have been posting ALL OVER our social media about how we reallyyyyy want to start doing destination weddings! Since 2013 we have been primarily wedding planners in Savannah and surrounding areas, and now that it is 2020, we are ready to begin new adventures!
In an effort to get these adventures started, we are promoting that the first FOUR destination weddings that we book will have NO TRAVEL FEES added on. With any destination requires traveling which means more money needs to be spent in order to get there, stay there and for labor. So, without these travel fees added on means you will be saving money, YAY! We have book our first destination wedding in Asheville (so excited), so there are three more opportunities to book us without travel fees!
Now let’s get to the inspiration - we are always seeing photos on Pinterest and Instagram of these GORGEOUS wedding venues all over the country, and it gets our creativity booming and we want to be able to plan and create floral masterpieces in these locations! We began with the first destination, Oregon, in our blog Destination Weddings: Take Ivory & Beau with you to Oregon. Our boss Nicole grew up there, so we felt it was the perfect place to start. Now onto a destination much closer to home, Atlanta.

THE VENUE
Summerour Studio - Atlanta, GA
The best part about this venue? It doesn’t even seem like you are in the middle of a huge city. Summerour Studio is a little green oasis in the middle of the hustle & bustle of Atlanta. The venue is a refurbished warehouse with an open floor plan, and a courtyard full of greenery and unique details. The contrast between the rustic outdoor space to the industrial indoor studio allows you to combine elements together that you never thought would fit. With a view of Midtown & Atlantic Station, your wedding will have the feel of being in the city while having your own private escape to enjoy the best day of your life.

THE COLORS
Ivory, Cream & Dark Green
Modern, delicate & sophisticated - the best words to describe this color palette. With a majority of the space being ivory & cream, this gives you a blank canvas to get creative with your decor while keeping it clean and modern. With details like skinny tapered candles on gold candlesticks and gold rimmed place settings, that gives your flowers their time to shine. Use flowers like White Calla Lilies, White Garden Roses, Scabiosa and Lily of the Valley, and surround them with lush dark greenery, allowing the space to remain bright while adding darker tones to add contrast to the venue.
THE DETAILS
Organic vs. Geometric, Small Blooms, Views
Combining contrasting elements of geometric structures like a hexagonal arch with the organic feel of drapery with light, delicate blooms mirrors the theme of the venue while viewing a cityscape from the window. A lot of smaller blooms arranged together throughout the venue would achieve the modern luxe feel while keeping it simple at the same time. A three tiered cake with a subtle marbled texture, decorated in tiny garlands of greenery and blooms once again combine organic and geometric elements. Piedmont Park is one of, if not the most iconic location in Atlanta, making it the perfect spot for couple portraits and wedding party photos.
