Ivory & Beau Competition: The Ultimate Wedding Mood Board Challenge
IT’S TIME FOR THE IVORY & BEAU LADIES TO GO HEAD TO HEAD…..
This is the Ultimate Mood Board Challenge! So..we recently got the pamphlet from Floral Supple Online, and they included what flower types go with each month. So we thought hmmm…we should make a mood board for our birthday flowers AND our significant others’ birthday flowers. BUT let’s see who can do it best.
The contestants….Nicole (owner of Ivory & Beau aka #girlboss), Logan (the social media marketing master), and Jenna (lead wedding planner & coordinator). We each collected our flower types, and began researched some inspiration photos, BUT FIRST, there were rules.
RULE #1: No more than 10 pictures, no fewer than 6.5 pictures
RULE #2: Must fill the entire page with photos, using Google Drive
RULE #3: Judging should be completely anonymous so you can’t put anything on your mood board that reveals your identity
RULE #4: You have 20 minutes to find your photos
The Judges: Emily, Abigale, Amy & Sam
P.S. Did you think we wouldn’t make a video out of this?! Scroll to the end to see the full experience, with the contestants, rules, judges and the process of making the mood boards!

Flowers: Marigold & Chrysanthemum
My birth month is November (Chrysanthemum) and my husband Alex’s is October (Marigold.) The initial images I found when looking for wedding flowers with these flower types were bright pinks and oranges. And I loved it so went off that. While I’m not a huge fan of the color pink, I do love oranges so found lots of bright playful colors.
My husband and I were married in December and actually even had a lot of these same color inspiration in our wedding despite it being December because I think that you can do whatever you want for your wedding no matter what season. Make it your own!
Now I’m officially ready to get remarried!!!!!!!!!

Flowers: Gladiolus & Aster
My birthday is in September (Aster) & my boyfriend’s birthday is in August (Gladiolus). When initially searching for photos of those flowers, I wanted to see the different colors that they come in as a jump start to my color palette. I saw burgundy asters & white gladiolus, so I went with that theme and since our birthdays are both towards the beginning of fall, I then began researching inspirations photos for fall weddings with a burgundy color scheme.
I love a lot of greenery as well, so the garland stood out to me, as well as the venue overlooking the woods with indoor trees. I love the thought of having a variety of lights at my wedding, so I loved the photo backdrop with draping twinkly lights and the bar with a neon sign of the couple’s names.
Let’s just that I am READY to get married! :)

Flowers: Aster & Marigold
While spring is the season of renewal for earth, fall is the season of renewal for the soul. A time for reconnecting with friends and family that's spent taking in the rich colors of the outdoors and sharing good food. It naturally creates the perfect backdrop for a celebration of love. With birthdays in September and October, it is hard to not draw from the feeling of fall to inspire this relaxed wedding weekend spent at Camp Wandawega.
You will find our bride and groom exchanging vows on the lower level of the treehouse, holding wildflowers in deep oranges, reds, yellow, and purples. Below which guests watch and later dine at banquet style tables, lined with amber bud vases and ivory candles to keep the conversation and laughs going long into the night.
