Everyone wants to looks their best at their wedding. For many, this means getting in shape before the big day. 6 months before the wedding is a wonderful time to start working towards your goal. Here is the best way to begin your 6 month wedding fitness journey.

Make Short-term Goals

Before you even start a plan, you have to make one. Decide how much time every day you want to exercise. Where do you want to be in 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. Make your goals attainable, and allow yourself some slack once in a while. If your strive for perfection, you are more likely to quit. However, if you make goals you can actually achieve, you will feel empowered to continue on your fitness journey!

Start at Your Own Pace

After you have an idea what you are aiming for, it is time to find a plan that works for you. Several online services are available to help you tailor your workout to your desires. Such services can look at your body type and tell what specific exercises need to be done. Such tools can also help you track your progress. In some cases, online fitness tools can be used with other people to help provide accountability in your goals. Consider signing up with your future spouse or your bridal party. It can be a fun way to prepare for the big day.

Cardio: The Most Important Part of Your 6 Month Wedding Workout Plan

This is one of the most important rules of fitness training. Starting on the first day, develop a cardio routine. These routines will help get your heart rate moving. In fact, it is almost impossible to lose weight without incorporating cardio into your routine. There are several ways to do this. Running is an obvious way to get that cardio in.

If you are not a runner, consider walking, hiking, or bike riding. The fitness app that you have already incorporated into your pre wedding workout plan can help you find out how much of the activity you should be doing each day. You do not have to do the same cardio activity every day, but try to incorporate some into the daily routine.

Make it Fun

The best pre wedding workout routines are fun. If you hate doing the activity, you will probably do just about anything to avoid the activity. Pick something you enjoy. If you are not a runner, don't run. If you enjoy workout videos, incorporate those as well. Your fitness app will provide recommendations, but you have to find things that will inspire you. You may consider group activities as well as individual ones.

Evaluate Monthly

Sit down once a month and reflect on how your plan is going. Decide what worked and what did not work. Change what you think needs to be changed. Are you where you wanted to be after the first 30 days? At this point, it is ok to change and modify goals. You will know better what goals are realistic. Don't be afraid of change. Just keep your end goals in mind.

Nutrition and Exercise

It is extremely important to mention the connection between nutrition and exercise. In fact, most of your weight goals depend largely on what goes into your body. Therefore, start your fitness routine with a healthy diet plan. The plan should be heavy on green vegetables, protein, and fiber. This will also keep you feeling your best. The better you feel, the more likely you will be to perform an adequate workout. A diet that is heavy in healthy vegetables is also likely to give you more glowing skin and better hair. This will make you feel the best that you possible can on your wedding day!

Getting into a 6 month wedding workout plan can do more than just help you get the wedding body that you want. It also helps you get the in the habit of being healthy. This assures that you will start your marriage as your healthiest and best self! After all, both you and your significant other deserve the best that you have to give!
