Romance at Bethesda {Featured on Borrowed & Blue}
Man oh man wedding season has been crazy! After a month of no blogging, we are finally catching up! We have so many things to share, and so many features! First up, this romantic shoot at Bethesda Academy! Shot by Rachel Strickland, this shoot started in Whitfield Chapel, one of Savannah bride's favorite chapels to get married. It features white walls, old pews, and gorgeous stained glass windows that makes the most gorgeous backdrop for portraits. Rachel wanted a gown that was sexy, but still a touch of southern. Our gown by Katie May was just perfect! Katie May gowns have ultra low backs (the lowest of any designer we carry!) For bridesmaids, she chose one of our newest styles by Jenny Yoo, which features their newest lace: embroidered! It adds colorful flowers, for a touch of floral print (which we love!)
From the photographer
"Here in Savannah, oysters are a huge part of Southern tradition. We decided to do an upscale interpretation of a Southern wedding full of oyster shell inspiration. We reached out to Bethesda Academy because we knew it was the perfect fit. Its location (right on the marshes of Savannah), gorgeous oaks adorned with Spanish moss, and oyster shell-paved sidewalks made this the ideal place to capture a truly Southern -inspired shoot." —Rachel Strickland Photography

In the enchanting embrace of Savannah's historic charm, Sarah and Max's love story unfolded amidst the timeless setting at The Drayton Hotel. With Ivory & Beau orchestrating the affair as both floral designer and wedding management, their wedding became a captivating narrative of contrasts, blending the allure of modern dark, moody florals with an artistic and editorial grace that feels very ‘old Hollywood’.
On the sleek rooftop lawn of Perry Lane, surrounded with the historic views of Savannah, Megan wove together a palette of deep berry reds, burnt oranges and blush shades of muted pink florals on two willow branch arches, creating a captivating and dramatic backdrop for Dawn & Larry’s ceremony. The results were breathtaking!
