Monique + Michael

When a bride says she wants a wedding that is robots and dinosaurs inspired.. we jump at the occasion! Monique and Michael wanted a wedding that was bright, colorful, fun, and eclectic. Pretty much all of the words we use to describe Ivory & Beau. They wanted to use oranges, metallics, and lots of greenery. And of course, add some robots and dinosaurs. So for the decor we made dozens of DIY geometric shapes and vases, and made sure to sprinkle in dinosaurs and robots all over the tables, bouts, cake, you name it. Soho South Cafe was the perfect venue, with high ceilings, chandeliers, and a wall covered in vintage doors. And we got to work with one of our favorite photographers, Christina Karst! Congratulations to Monique & Michael, and thank you for letting us execute your amazing vision!

We loved working with such a fun theme! They wanted something bright and colorful, with lots of pops of orange and greenery. We used peach and white amaryllis, orange lilies, orange calla lilies, and lot's of greenery to create a lush bouquet and tablescapes. For the centerpieces, we covered all of the bottles in DIY shapes painted in silver and white. We also made a ton of little geometric shapes (and watched a lot of TV in the process!) It made such a fun table, something different then we have ever done before! For the bouts, the groom had a robot (so cute!) while the other men got an orange calla lily. Scattered throughout the garlands and flowers were dinosaurs and robots. So cool! They also wanted a calligraphy sign for the entrance, we had McKenzie, of McKenzie Does Calligraphy, make the cutest sign ever.

Their ceremony took place in front of the garage doors at Soho South Cafe, which is one of our favorite Savannah venues! The lights hanging from the doors make the perfect ceremony backdrop. Their vows were personal and heartfelt, and brought tears to many of the guests. They also had a communion, where they served the bread and the wine. This was a perfect way to tie their beliefs into the ceremony, and allow the guests to be apart of it.
