Marsala Wedding Inspiration
The Pantone 2015 color of the year is Marsala, and it has been popular with our clients! So many of our brides are incorporating this dusty rose and burgundy mix into their color palates. We discussed ways to incorporate Marsala into your wedding in earlier blogs, suggesting to add it into your flowers, or even your bridesmaids. It's such a flattering color that really looks good on all skin tones. This photoshoot was styled by Larger Than Life Events, and was recently featured in Charleston Weddings Magazine! "I love that Marsala can be used in virtually every season" wrote Atosha, the owner of Larger Than Life Events out of Charleston.
Atosha borrowed Isla-Joy by Rebecca Schoneveld, and it was a perfect match! Isla-Joy is made of the softest chiffon lace, with a draped fitted bodice, spaghetti straps, and a sheath skirt with a peek-a-boo slit. It is sultry and soft and hugs in all the right places! Atosha knew she wanted gold accessories, and as soon as she saw the gold birdcage by Adele Amelia she was smitten! We love the pop of gold accessory, especially for your ceremony look. We have a few gold birdcage options to choose from, and even a few gold veils! And while we love the look, we have to admit, our favorite part of the shoot might be the puppy!
"For summer, cool it off with light tones like ivory or lavender. Tame it with cool tones like ivory and gold for spring, or orange and browns in the fall" states Atosha. We couldn't agree more! Marsala is such a perfect color all year round! We have lots of Rebecca Schoneveld dresses in our shop, from her classic Rosaline to modern Elsa. All of her gowns would go perfect with a touch of Marsala (plus, they are all handmade in Brooklyn, New York!) Make sure to set up an appointment with us to shop her collection!

In the enchanting embrace of Savannah's historic charm, Sarah and Max's love story unfolded amidst the timeless setting at The Drayton Hotel. With Ivory & Beau orchestrating the affair as both floral designer and wedding management, their wedding became a captivating narrative of contrasts, blending the allure of modern dark, moody florals with an artistic and editorial grace that feels very ‘old Hollywood’.
On the sleek rooftop lawn of Perry Lane, surrounded with the historic views of Savannah, Megan wove together a palette of deep berry reds, burnt oranges and blush shades of muted pink florals on two willow branch arches, creating a captivating and dramatic backdrop for Dawn & Larry’s ceremony. The results were breathtaking!
