GRACE + JOHN
Grace + John were such a sweet couple to work with. They were always so kind, and so easy going through their wedding planning process. They both live in Brooklyn, but wanted an intimate wedding in Savannah, filled with touches of southern charm and peaches. Not only did we get to plan, but we also got to do the flowers! We loved the color palate, and had so much fun making their vision come true. Thank you Grace + John for letting us be apart of your day!
Grace and John had their ceremony at Monterey Square, with plenty of sunshine on a day that started out stormy. (Really, it was one of the stormiest days of the summer the morning of their wedding! But they never let it get to them!) Grace wore a vintage gown, that we think fit their retro-southern-peach inspired wedding. We love her gown paired with his gray suit and bowtie, they are just such a cute couple!
Alexis took the couple around historic Savannah for their portraits, and they braved the hot humid Savannah weather perfectly. For her bouquet we wanted something large and full of peachy tones to go with their theme. We chose garden roses, daisies, ivory roses, eucalyptus, and a touch of blush. One of our favorite parts of her outfit were her teal shoes! We love a bride who goes with comfort on her wedding day, and adds a pop of color!
Their ceremony took place at the American Legion in downtown Savannah, which has a perfectly cool retro feel (One of the best places to eat, Betty Bombers, is right next door!) For the decor, we went with their southern peach theme, but added some vintage elements like milk vases and vintage china from Lillian's China. Fresh peaches were used as both escort cards and table numbers, and by the end of the night almost all of the peaches were eaten! We made a large garland for their sweetheart table, and used a variety of peach and blush flowers for the centerpieces. The couple ended the night in a classic sparkler sendoff!
