Melissa & Andrew

Most of our clients are destination, and Melissa and Andrew came all the way from Canada (Saskatoon to be exact!)! They loved the charm of Savannah, and wanted a wedding that was whimsical, unique, fun, and oh so them! They chose Soho South Cafe for the reception, and Lafayette Square for their ceremony. Soho South Cafe was the perfect spot, with it's indoor garden feel, and mismatched decor. Each table was kept simple with white milk vases, clear vases, and bright pops of color! They even had gold animals (and dinosaurs!) on each table, a detail we obviously loved! For their flowers they wanted something bold and full of summer colors, like yellow, pink, and lots of greenery. Her bouquet was super wild and full of texture, with lots of eucalyptus and huge mums and bright yellow roses. We had so much fun doing their planning and their flowers! Congratulations to Melissa and Andrew <3

Melissa and Andrew's ceremony took place at Lafayette square, one of our favorites in Savannah. It's an intimate spot, and the fountain makes the perfect backdrop. They kept the decor to a minimum, and just had some giant balloons in the background, which swayed in the wind. Two of their friends performed the music, and it was so sweet and personal! Their vows were heartfelt, and you could really feel how much they love one another. I mean look at their smiles! After the ceremony they had a Leopold's cart next to the square, so guests could enjoy some ice cream on a warm summer day.

Savannah has the coolest places to take pictures! You don't have to walk far to get so many scenes: water front, historic brick, grand homes, fountains, and of course endless squares of Oak. Melissa and Andrew took advantage of the scenery and walked around Savannah before going to Soho South for their reception. For the reception, they kept the vibe eclectic and vibrant, like the atmosphere of Soho! They had vintage china from Lilian's China, which added such fun colors and textures! We love mismatched china, and I'll admit I'm obsessed with her blue collection.
