Meagan + Brenden

From day one, Meagan and Brenden knew they wanted a fun and southern wedding. They wanted good food, good company, and a little southern flair for their out of town guests. Oldfield Plantation was the perfect fit, with its river bluff views, Spanish moss oak trees and soft coastal breezes. Not only did we help plan, but we did their flowers, and Meagan got her dress and veil from us! She was a complete Ivory + Beau bride, head to tail. The day of their wedding was gorgeous, with such perfect weather and happy friends! The dance party at the end of the night was epic, and they even invited us onto the dance floor! Meagan and Brenden were so sweet to work with, and it was hard not hearing from her everyday after the wedding! We wish these two so much love and happiness! And thank you Rach Loves Troy for the images!

When it came to her wedding dress, Meagan knew she wanted something a little different, but still soft and romantic. She finally found the perfect one in Ti Adora! She chose a strapless lace gown, with a hint of gold underneath. It was the perfect touch of shimmer, and we love the sparkle sash around the waist. We paired it with a lace veil by Jaclyn Jordan, and we just adore her Kate Spade heels! Our seamstress Shirley surprised Meagan by adding her wedding date into her gown, for her something blue!

For flowers, we kept her bouquet soft and neutral, with pops of bold color in her anemones and dried lavender. For her bridesmaids, she wanted them to be simple baby's breath bouquets, which coordinated perfect with her large bouquet! Oldfield has some of the most beautiful grounds in the area, and there are so many places to explore for pictures! Rach Loves Troy followed the couple around the grounds, taking advantage of the dock's, lakes, and sunset light.

Their ceremony took place over looking the bluff, and with the sun winding down, it was stunning. They had her childhood pastor come down to officiate, which made the moment even more intimate and special. With such a beautiful scenic backdrop, there was no need for any ceremony arch, just a few bunches of lavender on the sides of the chairs as aisle markers.

It might have been a little windy by the water, but it didn't stop guests from having a good time! The weather was sunny and perfect, which allowed the whole reception to be outdoors, under the Spanish moss draped trees. For their centerpieces, we used mismatched bottles and trophy cups filled with ivory flowers and greenery. Family members handmade the signs, showing guests which way the events were. We loved the hanging lights over the dance floor, which added the perfect glow once the sun went down.
